Options for Materials of Construction

TES/Airflotek Fan Filter Units come any size, custom engineered to fit your design specifications. There are 3 basic looks, although many more designs use some variation of what you see here, for the material of construction.

The Euro-Air FFU is our “base “ construction. The Fan plenum is made anodized aluminum and the air inlet is either a punched round hold pattern or can be a wire finger guard for high flow designs and/or CE marked units. The filter frame is anodized aluminum, with a powder coated expanded metal face screen downstream of the American Air Filter product, be it HEPA grade , ULPA grade or the PTFE Megacel grade. Particularly in small quantities, this design will have the lowest initial cost.
The Painted version Euro-Air is often considered as a cosmetic upgrade to match the construction of the EFEM or tool the FFU mounts to. Some customers prefer the powder painted cold rolled steel construction from the standpoint of dampening vibration, versus anodized aluminum. The painted Euro-Air FFU features a powder painted fan plenum, clipped to the filter. The filter frame is anodized aluminum, with a powder coated expanded metal face creen downstream of the American Air Filter product, be it HEPA grade , ULPA grade or the PTFE Megacel grade.

The “Reflections” series uses 304, 316 or 316L Stainless steel on all the exposed surfaces. Ask us about 304 SS HEPA fan filters and 316 SS HEPA fan filters.
